Assertiveness Training

One of a three short courses (along with Stress Management and Anger Management) designed to help clients achieve specific personal development goals.

Assertiveness means to be honest and forthright - and still support the opinions and feelings of others. It should not be confused with aggression. Instead of the confrontational and damaging ‘I win - you lose’ mentality that aggressive people use to achieve their objectives, the aim of Assertiveness Training is to learn to solve a problem in a way allows you to achieve your goals whilst dealing with others calmly, respectfully, and with reduced levels of stress.

The course lasts for 6 sessions, and uses a number of techniques including Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy and practical exercises to help you to gain the confidence and competence to behave assertively rather than aggressively.
