Anger Management

One of our three short courses (along with Assertiveness Training and Stress Management) designed to help clients achieve specific personal development goals.

Anger is a natural and instinctive response to threats. As such it’s a normal – and normally healthy – emotion. However, when it gets out of control it can be destructive and damaging, both to us and to those around us.

The course lasts for 6 sessions, and employs a number of techniques including Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy and practical exercises.

It is designed for anyone interested in exploring and understanding their anger, as well as learning to manage and transform their anger safely and effectively. Clients will develop an accurate profile of their own anger and stress levels, thereby gaining valuable insights into what triggers their reactions.

Course content includes:

  • How to stop anger affecting emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • How to manage stress plus techniques for resolving conflict.
  • How to stop taking things so personally.
  • How negative emotional cycles work and how to interrupt them.
  • How to express anger cleanly.
  • Why stress fuels anger.
  • How to control thoughts and mistaken beliefs.
