Who we are
Richard Reid
Pinnacle Therapy was founded in 2005 by Richard Reid, a highly qualified psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, counsellor and mediator.
His first career was as a consultant for a major multi-national business consultancy where he specialised in information technology and customer service. While he was travelling in Patagonia and feeling dissatisfied with his career, Richard decided to change direction — he was holidaying with a Welsh psychiatrist who suggested that he might make a good therapist. He now works exclusively as a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, counsellor and mediator, providing professional therapy to individual private clients and advising corporate clients on issues such as trauma and stress.
He trained with the Contemporary College of Therapeutic Studies at Birkbeck University. He has since also trained at the Centre for Stress Management, the Regents College School (where he studied mediation), and the National Centre for Eating Disorders. He is a member of all relevant professional organisations (as listed on the home page of this website).
He has advised organisations such as Transport for London, the BBC, The Priory, BUPA, the National Phobics Society, the Hounslow Primary Care Trust and several regional police forces.
Other therapists
Richard works closely with other highly qualified psychotherapists to ensure that all his clients receive the form of therapy that is best for them from the therapist they feel most comfortable working with.

"I would highly recommend Pinnacle to anyone who feels they are struggling with an alcohol problem.
Richard was non-judgemental and had empathy with what I was struggling with. I feel so much more
positive within myself and my relationship with alcohol."
